Where we fly

Flying field is for DAC members and sponsored guests ONLY.

General public are welcome to spectate and ask questions.

The Club's flying field is located in Melbourne (Australia) at Bulleen Park, off Bulleen Rd, Bulleen, Victoria, 3105.

           4km Radius.  Clearance required from DAC field (MOP008) of any radiating radio control model frequencies.

             Therefore no flying or operating of RC model frequencies shall take place within 4km zone.

When we fly

The field is available for DAC members ONLY for flying and subject to the following conditions (refer to Club Rules):

  • Members must be currently financial which includes MAAA insurance.

  • Our flying field area is very restricted so majority of members now fly using electric power models.

  • Member must have weekday (Mon-Fri) approval from committee to fly RC models.

  • Internal Combustion powered flying at Bulleen is controlled by the Manningham City Council Local Laws and Club Rules.  Flying of these models are restricted as follows:

    • Can be operated any day of the week (weekday flying requires weekday approval) between following hours:

      • When Daylight saving is not in force between:  10:00am to 5:30pm.

      • When daylight saving is in force between:  10:00am to 6:30pm.

    • Must operate with muffler installed and model noise restricted to within Club approved noise limits.
